Spring Break Outfit Challenge

It's time for another Wet Seal fashion community contest. This one is for Spring Break. You can style some outfits for Spring Break and win a $250 gift card. To enter; sign up for or log in to the fashion community, go to "My Boutique", create an outfit, tag your outfit as "Spring Break", and submit it to the runway! Make sure your outfit includes 3 or more items so it can be considered; Read the contest rules for more information. Since many of you are probably going away to an island or beach (or at least hanging out at your local beach) this Spring Break, I decided to style outfits that you can wear on the beach. I will post my creations for the contest below:

On The Fringe

Three looks that are popular right now are the flapper girl look from the victorian era, the modern-day hippie look, and the western cowgirl look. What's the one fashion trend that fits in with all of these looks? Fringe! Fringe is everywhere right now. While fringe seems to be most popular on shoes and handbags, I love it on dresses, belts, vests, tops, etc. as well. To get the flapper girl look, wear a fringe dress, a pearl necklace, a sequined purse, a feather headband, and some high heeled pumps. For the modern hippie look, get an oversized fringe handbag, a maxi dress or a tie-dyed shirt with ripped/bleached jeans, flip flops, and some bangles. If you want to try out a western-inspired look; grab some fringe boots, a plaid button-down shirt, a denim skirt (you can add a fringe belt if you want), and a cowboy or straw hat.
