With peace symbols and maxi dresses being a big hit in fashion right now, it's clear that the 60's and 70's have made a comeback for the summer. Are there any more trends from that era which will be revived during this summer of love? How about tie-dye? Yes, that's right. Tie-dye has also made a big splash this summer, as well as its cousin dip-dye (in which the ends are dipped in the dye) and ombre (which is french for shade, it is a technique where the colors bleed into each other ). I am going to feature some fashions from these color bleeding families in this post.

Oh my gosh they're all so nice!! (holds out the peace sign) Go hippies!!
PS: Do you own any of those clothing?
Yep! Gotta love the whole Hippie Chic thing going on this summer! I do not own most of the actual clothing that I feature in this blog, although I do own quite a few things that are similar. I WISH I owned everything I post here, but unfortunately I can't afford that right now. I did just get hired for a new job that I'm supposed to be starting some time this week though, so hopefully that will change soon!
hi Helene
Nice site Helene and some very nice products for sale too.

...Is Geoff (the dude above me) your employer?
Geoff: Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm glad you like the products I posted. I'm Helene's daughter Tara, btw.
Dibsy: No, Geoff is not my employer. I think he has me confused with my mom. She has a blog too. Her blog is about health care though. I'm working at Sears as a seasonal Sales Associate in the shoe department. I've been busy training all week which is part of the reason I haven't been around as much lately. I'm still going to try to update as often as possible though.
Sears? Where? Please, please tell me you mean the Sears in Glendale, California! 'Cause that's where I live! Or at least in L.A.!!!
No, sorry! I'm not anywhere near California. I live in New York. The Sears I'm working at is in Garden City, NY. But hey, if you ever visit NY feel free to stop by the Garden City Sears anytime and say hi!
Sure thing, I'll remember! Also, you got a blog award by me-isn't that great? Another one!
Oh! Thank you! I should do that on my blog too, even in I only end up nominating about 4 people since that's about as many people as I know on blogger.
Oh, if you know only four people on your blog, go to someone whom you know's blog, ad check for comments other than you. If you want, you can go check their blog out and maybe you guys will become friends! (that's how i met lots of my commentors, by the way)
