To try out the preppy school girl look, pair a plaid skirt with a cardigan sweater or a vest, knee high socks, and a back pack or messenger bag. For the tougher punk rock look, pair either a plaid miniskirt or some plaid pants with a graphic t-shirt or tank top. Then add a fabulous pair of studded boots, a studded belt, and some spiky jewelry. To get the menswear inspired look, pair a plaid button-down shirt with some tailored pants. You can pair this oufit with some high heeled shoes to give it some feminine details. Also, add a fedora hat or necktie for a fun twist. If all you're looking for is a simple, casual look for the fall, just wear a plaid jacket and your favorite pair of jeans with a headband and some sneakers. I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but I will be putting these outfits I described together on Wet Seal and Charlotte Russe's websites at some point in the future. I hope you found my tips to get this seasons hottest styles useful. Remember, I'm always looking for new fashion related ideas to write about. So if you have any suggestions, e-mail me at Charmed42787@gmail.com or send me a message on myspace.

Mad About Plaid
Plaid is one of the biggest trends around right now. It's perfect for the season involving the change in leaf colors. It also goes with many of the inspirations for the fall 2008 trends; this includes the preppy school girl, punk rock, and menswear inspired looks. Yes, you read that right. Plaid is a pattern that can be worn with both preppy AND punk styles of fashion! That is the wonderful thing about plaid. It's extremely versatile. It is also fun to mix and match with different items or to just play around with. I will post some plaid items I found online below and will also be giving some fashion tips on how to pair some of these items to get this fall's inspired styles.
